The concept is easier to understand when one understands basic economics, is paying attention and sees it all happening. If things keep heading in the direction they are heading, both liberal and neoconservatives, there is a good chance that most of us will be alive to see Ron Paul's predictions coming true.

1. There is more to economics than "basic".
2. Paying attention is a meaningless statement if you are already working from a defined set of beliefs that orient you to a particular focus.
3. "See it all happening" is a quality of omniscience that is typically not human. Also, see point two.
4. Your apolcalyptic vision carries a certain religious flavor.
Ron Paul is a person who is logically consistent within the framework of his beliefs. He is not a god.

Progressive statements here and else where are rhetoric. People are wising up to the facts. The some tactics from the Progressive rhetoric play book is to distract from the issues and problems our nation is under going so it can collapse the system, thus blaming the oppossion. Progressives are good at that, just read some of the twist on this tread. Religion being mentioned as well as demonizing persons and situations, I'm surprised that racism wasn't mentioned yet, but give it time Truth is, the Progressives always think they know everything there is to know about everything, yet they know nothing about everything. Does it sound like someone so far? There is a serious problem heading our way with our national financial security. To start, the problem comes from compromising with the Progressive movement. Next, the current policies with the Federal Reserve, as well as the Federal Reserve its self. Another issue, is why do we as a nation even let the IMF dictate any policy? Even Germany has mentioned about pulling out of the EU, and the IMF. In order for them to get full control over the global economy, they have to collapse the global economy. Again, devaluing of our currency abroad is part of that plan, plus it's the reason for rising cost of fuel prices. The current administration’s financial policies are going to drive full costs even high, in turn will set off a chain reaction of increased stables. Its going to happen, just when will it take off fully.

Define rhetoric.

The art of effective or persuasive speaking or writing. Language designed to have a persuasive or impressive effect on its audience, but often regarded as lacking in sincerity or meaningful content.

The very act of defining itself has been a central part of rhetoric, appearing among Aristotle's Topics.[2] The word is derived from the Greek ῥητορικός (rhētorikós), "oratorical",[3] from ῥήτωρ (rhḗtōr), "public speaker",[4] related to ῥημα (rhêma), "that which is said or spoken, word, saying",[5] and ultimately derived from the verb ἐρῶ (erô), "to speak, say".[6] In its broadest sense, rhetoric concerns human discourse.[7][8]

It was Plato who defined the Sophists as primarily concerned with Rhetoric as being the use of language to promote one's own point of view without regard to the truth. Plato postulated Dialectic as the means to arrive at truth, whereby individuals could, through discourse, come to an understanding. It assumed no one person held the truth.

I mentioned this conflict in a previous post. If you look back a couple posts you will see that I actually addressed your points, whereas you just launched a general attack on progressives without actually engaging my argument. Therefore, you are the Rhetorician that you claim progressives to be.
