I don't think he really expected to win when he ran. Everyone thought that Hillary was the presumptive nominee and as good a campaign as Obama ran, Hillary ran a bad campaign. In the normal universe, Hillary would likely be President. She screwed it up.
So the real question after all that water under the bridge, is whether Obama is a good President. I think he is. You don't.

Is Obama a dumb man trying to act smart or a smart man acting dumb. Throughout history the latter are the most dangerous.
