I'll admit, I can't keep up with the incompetence. How many stories just in the last 24 hours? Kushner and Japanese investors, Trump laughing about lying about trade "facts" that he is basing policy on. Trump unable to keep his mouth shut about it. The comings and going and goings and goings, the loss of a safe district, the divorce....

Washington (AFP) - US President Donald Trump -- who has himself been repeatedly accused of sexual misconduct -- on Friday designated April 2018 "National Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month" amid a national debate over the issue.

"Sexual assault crimes remain tragically common in our society, and offenders too often evade accountability," said a proclamation from Trump released by the White House. "These heinous crimes are committed indiscriminately: in intimate relationships, in public spaces, and in the workplace."

"Too often, however, the victims of assault remain silent. They may fear retribution from their offender, lack faith in the justice system, or have difficulty confronting the pain associated with the traumatic experience," it continued.

"My administration is committed to raising awareness about sexual assault and to empowering victims to identify perpetrators so that they can be held accountable."

At least 20 women have publicly accused Trump of engaging in sexual assault or harassment prior to becoming president.

Trump: I’m too ‘busy’ to visit troops and it’s ‘not overly necessary’
By Eric Boehlert - October 17, 2018

Is Trump afraid of war zones?

Trump is waving off the idea that he should maintain the presidential tradition of visiting U.S. troops inside a war zone.

The gesture is seen as a sign of respect and a way for the president to remind U.S. troops that Americans are thinking of them in places like Afghanistan and Iraq, where an estimated 20,000 U.S. troops are still stationed.

“I will do that at some point, but I don’t think it’s overly necessary,” Trump said on Tuesday, when pressed during a Q&A with the Associated Press. “I’ve been very busy with everything that’s taking place here.”

Trump also repeated the lie that he recently approved the first military raise in 11 years. In truth, members of the U.S. military are guaranteed a small pay raise each year by law.

President George W. Bush often visited war zones. And less three months into his presidency, Obama visited troops in Iraq. And he made surprise visits to troops in Afghanistan twice in 2010. In total, Obama ventured into combat zones five times during his time in office.

Trump though, is too “busy.”

Trump famously doesn’t work very hard or very often, and on some days there’s nothing listed on his official schedule.

When not live-tweeting Fox News during his “executive time,” Trump has been relentlessly golfing, as if that were his full-time job.

He’s also attended 70 campaign events this year.

So the idea that he’s been too “busy” to venture into war zones to show his appreciation for the troops makes no sense.

Maybe he’s just afraid of combat zones.

Note that Trump, who has bragged about being a three-sport athlete in high school, suddenly developed bone spurs when he became eligible for the draft during the Vietnam War. In total, he received five deferments and avoided serving in the military. Nearly 60,000 Americans were killed in the Vietnam War.

Trump told the AP he’d “gladly” visit the troops — at some point. But Trump lies about everything, so don’t hold your breath.

How thankful we can be to have a President that actually cares for and does what is best for this nation and people. We have so many Leftists like the one above who only desire to destroy what was the hope of the world. Beware of the leftists.

You obviously don't understand Trump and live only to destroy and tear him down regardless of his performance. If I had to guess "why Trump doesn't visit the troops"... it's unnecessary and expensive.

The only benefit of randomly visiting the troops in a public way is to gain politically. That is why Obama did it (rarely). Trump does not need that and neither does the troops. Having said that, I'm sure he will make a visit during the holidays AFTER the election cycle.

Oh BTW, 61% of military veterans and active duty voted for Trump. AND HE GOT THEM ALL RAISES AND FUNDED THE MILITARY WITH $700+ B this year and another $700B next.

Pretty sure this is only an issue with you and the rest of your deranged leftist fellows. Nice to chat with you again.

The Democrats have and desire to undermine our once great nation and culture. This election is very important so please do all you can to allow Conservative Republicans protect what we still have.

Remember- "Never in the history of the world has a powerful central government been the friend of the common man". The entire agenda of the Democrat party is to increase governmental control and undermine even more the Judeo- Christian ethic that was woven into and the basis of our culture.
