Ya know,,,,Traffic circles (roundabouts) work great if, if people actually use them correctly. One does wonder though if the new undisciplined sorts on the road would actually flow in and out as a traffic circle was intended to be used. Ever drive in England? You have roundabouts in every town and village but the people there
use them properly. Those in the circle have the right of way and the driver entering simple goes behind that car. You leave at your desired road.

There are a few that don't work for them any longer. In areas where congestion is greater, cyclists are more numerous. " the UK today boasts 25,000 roundabouts: the most in the world as a proportion of road space. (France has more in total.)"
They have discovered where you have more pedestrian traffic it is safer to use traffic signals. Really don't see that being a problem here. Roads are too narrow for cyclists or foot traffic. The key is finding the most efficient way to move the masses in any given area.
Personally I think people need to learn how to relax a bit, slow down and smell the roses.
