I wonder about the timing of the new auto repair shop at Elbon and Edgemont. It is curious that this building sat vacant for so long but now has been rented (verified with Sam Pace) and refurbished. It looks great. Does this have anything to do with an election year? Why was this business "allowed" when other offers were turned down? What about the salt bin or children's library ideas?

Why does Chief Egan have his corvette (not even gonna touch that one) serviced at Crilly's when Parkside Council and their supporters think it is far too expensive? Just wondering. The Chief does not get the Police cars serviced there but chooses to take his personal vehicle to Crilly's. Something does not add up.

The record shows that the new business opened under the watch of Republicans....and this makes you so so angry!

Ms. Witch, you are missing the whole point! neither the Republicans or the Democrats can take credit for the new business! The new business is a result of capitalism and a free market. The new business is the result of a private entrepreneur's hard work and money. Not the socialistic meddling of local government.

Folks, read between the lines here! This is a teachable moment. If our locals Democrats had been in office when this business opened? You can bet the farm they would have unfaily taken credit for this business. The words of Ms. Witch shows this!

Also, Ms. Witch. If Chief Egan owns a corvette, I am jealous. I wish I did! It's his car! He can take the darn thing wherever he wants to get it repaired. It's nobody's business but his own. I hope he enjoys that car and steps on the horsepower leaving his carbon footprint all over the place. I know it drives the recycling crowd nuts. Chief Egan, enjoy that car while you can! The day will come when we won't have the right to own one anymore. We will have to ride around in 2 cylinder hybrid lawn mowers while they drive Hummers in Iraq and Porshes in Germany.

Lady what are you smoking or drinking.....you are out there.... Do you know for a fact where the Chief gets his car services? There are other vets in the world besides his and what business is it of yours? And why you glad that the corner lot that you complained about so much, is now a beautiful site! What is your problem? Isn't it what you complained about? And I doubt if it is a democrate or republican thing....how about if a person actually, in this economy, had the money to do something with that vacant lot! The new and improved council did not part the seas or invent the wheel. So what if Egan has a Corvette. Is he not allowed to have one? He can take his personal car anywhere he wants to have it worked on. As far as the police cars, they are not his cars like you stated. The police cars belong to the borough. The police cars go out and get fixed at the lower price to fix them, and the borough officals decide where the cars get fixed. You really need to get a grip.
