I think you need to take a longer view of Obama than the the kind of heated rhetoric that is going on these days. It's easy to make the association that

Socialism = government intervention and control
Government is intervening
Therefore we have Socialism

but that is overly simplistic. The fact is that sometimes government needs to intervene and whether that amounts to Socialism takes a more critical analysis than is being offered by the harbingers of doom on the right.

I would just call it hot dogging.
Great show for the camera.

Take a deep breath there know it all. I couldn't even get the video to come up.So I don't know what he said this time. I heard that guy go off once before. All he did was scream and jump up and down. He was acting like a figging nut job.

And of all people accusing anyone of being a partisan shill. Give the world a break. loll

Phaedrus,
I don't profess to know the exact definition of Socialism.
I feel excessive governmental intervention and control = a bad thing.
I feel like the current state of government intervention and control is excessive.
Therefore, I am unhappy with the current government and want to see a shift towards conservatism in the next few elections.
Notice I don't say Republican, but Republicans are usually more conservative than democrats.

The truth is I could care less about the parties.I wouldn't give you a dime for any of them. I do however care about the Republic and the direction we are going. That is so much more important.

What you don't seem to understand is that the republican agenda contains an equal amount of government control, except instead of placing emphasis on health and well-being of our citizens, they put it on big business and making sure the rich get richer while our poor continue to receive little to no unemployment assistance and are stuck with choosing to die in their homes rather than placing their family in enormous debt by making an ambulance call.
