I’m only going to hit one portion of this post because it is all Progressive twisting of truth and facts.

If Jesus is a “ Classic Liberal” you should first know what a Classic Liberal is. .

Classic Liberal is a Democrat Conservative destroyed by the Progressive movement in the 1880's. So in a progressives eyes what Jerry Curl is saying is, Jesus was a Conservative.

Actually,

1. your conservative principles are all garbage and un-American and un-Christian. Jesus lived in poverty and helped lepers and had long hair, he was the classic liberal.

2. The country was founded on secular principles. The founding fathers had no use for religion.

3. Trickle down never worked, never will.

4. Reagan was a disaster, prolonged the cold war, started the down fall of the middle class, hated working people.

5. Bush led the country to the brink. Obama saved the auto industry, commercial credit, our 401ks, our standing in the world, prevented depression and 30% unemployment.

6. Bin Laden was caught from intel received from a respectful interrogation after establishing a relationship with the detainees....not waterboarding. Torture leads to guys giving whatever false info the interrogator wants and is never accurate.

7. The Bushies had a culture of military and intel fighting over egos with Rumsfield. That prevented us from finding Bin Laden. Obama changed the culture to cooperation, results, we got Bin Laden.

8. Any group that didn't laugh the birthers of the face of the earth has no business running the country. You all go play in the sand box while the adults run the country.

Now little minds, go back to your delusions and Fox lies. They are very funny.

Thanks guys, but he's right. I started it by calling him a drone. It just seems like no matter what the issue is at hand, he seems to find a way to mealy mouth it with liberal gobbly gook and double talk.

You are also correct that conservatives do not need to resort to name calling because our arguments are based on the founding principles and do not constantly requiring the spin of political correctness and progressivism. This dynamic and nonsensical ideology makes it very difficult for the non-intellectual liberal to argue without name calling.

Phae is clearly an intellectual. Sorry for the drone comment.

And I will also apologize. I can argue without name-calling, but it means more than just drone or a##hole. Get some balls, nonsensical, elitist, socialist, progressive, mealy mouth, gobbly gook, double talk, political correctness, etc. are all terms that do not actually address the argument. And while some may seem like accurate labels, they can be intended as insults, or a means to dismiss an argument.

While you may see your argument as based on founding principles, it may not necessarily be accurate in its interpretation of those principles. It may also be that you are just emotionally comfortable with certainty and have trained yourself to disregard anything that would create uncertainty, including admitting to the uncertainty of the founders themselves.

To be plainspoken, this is similar to people who insist on a literal interpretation of the Bible.

Liberalism originated in England and had nothing to do with Democrat Conservatives, whatever that is. The American Revolution was an expression of liberalism. The Progressives did not destroy liberalism, but they did alter one central tenet in reaction to the "Gilded Age." They sought to use government to promote liberal principles in the social sciences for the benefit of society. This emphasis on government was counter to the earlier view of liberals, but a normal reaction to the excesses of the ruling classes whether they be kings or robber barons.

Hate to point something out about Jason's list but Leon Panetta was interviewed last night and he stated that "enhanced interrogation methods"(including waterboarding) were used on the captured terrorists who gave up the identity of Bin Laden's courier and led to his hiding place and eventual demise. These are the techniques that Obama, and the rest of the libs, were against and one of the reasons why they were going to close Club Gitmo because they had used these techniques there extensively and successfully.

He's done. Two presidents helped in two bad guys going down. Saddam/Bush and BinLaden/Osama It's done. They are both dead just be greatful that we had to presidents stand firm and do the job they both felt was correct to do. Freaking get along now the last thing we need is more freaking arguing.
